Today is World Water Day. In 1992, the UN General Assembly designated
March 22nd of each year as the World Day for Water. I am sad that I
just learned of this a few days ago, how is it I never heard of World
Water Day? I thought if I'd never heard of it there was a chance many
of our HUF supporters haven't heard of it either. WWD is neat because
it focuses on the whole world and the dire water needs now and the
possible water needs in the future. It's a great organization and I
would like for you to take the time to check out their website and
read up on the cause. HUF plans on being on the event calendar in 2012
and we are asking for your help with ideas. What first came to mind

was getting the schools and kids involved, this is a great way to
teach children about the water crisis around the world and compassion
for others. It will also bring to light our own water needs in our
nation and what we can do to preserve our precious water resources. I
was thinking making a field day of it at the park in Snyder, we would
need vendors and sponsors but wouldn't it be fun?! What do you think?
Send your ideas to kara@holdenuganda.org.
We need to invest in our future, our children and grandchildren.
Learning compassion for others is the greatest lesson that can be
taught to young children, and having fun while they learn is even
better! Here is the website for you to check out:

another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
